Want to reinstall windows 10 pro upgrade from windows 8.1 pro without loosing my movies stored in videos

I only want to save my movies in videos, I had win 10 pro on this pc but reinstalled 8.1 pro to fix a problem

Copy those movies off to some other drive.
Then do whatever update you wish.

Yes, an Upgrade install will probably keep everything in its place, including your movies.
But what if it goes wrong?

Have your personal data on a different drive and offline during this process.
