[SOLVED] Want to replace my TOSHIBA MK6475GSX 640.1 GB with an SSD

Solution
That Toshiba appears to be a 2.5 inch spinning hard drive; 5400 rpm; perhaps 2012 vintage; most any SSD would be a major improvement.

A Crucial MX500 is a decent standard choice. But there are lots of others that would be OK. Decide on capacity you need and shop locally.

You need an ordinary 2.5 inch SATA drive. Not M.2, not NVMe.
