Want to replace the cpu on my laptop

I have a Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop with a Dell G8RW1, Socket 988, motherboard. I also have a broken N7110 and I want to take out the CPU from it and put it in the N5110. I want to know if it will work? The motherboard on the N5110 is Dell G8RW1, Socket 988 and the CPU is Intel i7-2630.

If they both use the 988 socket, you might be able to swap the processors physically, but you could run into problems with the Bios and motherboard supporting the i7. From comments in the video below, it seems it may be possible.

It might work. But there are potential problems. The bios may not have the microcode to properly support the i7 and the cooling system may not handle it as it was designed for an i3 and may not handle the higher tdp of the i7.
