I am in the market for a new monitor & I have been eyeing a 1440p monitor.
I have been running 1920x1080 and I believe 1440 is the way to go.

Currently my rig is housing 2x GTX 970 G1's in SLI.

I prefer the monitor to have 144hz and 1ms response time.

I will weigh my options with possibly sacrificing (1-4 ms) for an IPS panel but I really need someone to explain the loss/gain factor with that one.

I plan to use my Xbox One occasionally and from what I understand some of the monitors only support display ports so I may have to get an adapter for Display Port to HDMI. When playing competitively online I believe the lower ms will give a slight advantage.

I primarily play Arma 3 but I enjoy buying the new games and trying them as they come out. I am almost ALWAYS maxing out my settings.

I get about 40-90 frames in Arma depending on the server, would I even be able to take advantage of the 144hz?

I want to spend no more than $700.

What would be the best choice for me? Does it even exist yet?

The closest thing I found to what I wanted were these:

What are the deciding factors in order of importance when choosing a monitor?

I would think:

Resolution
hz
ms
panel
?

Would that be correct?

Is gsync really that good?

I do not have gsync but I know its awesome. It gives you a called frames that ensures better performance and actually gives the frames it says you are getting. Not near as much tearing as vsync. Ms can be important but I would put other things in priority.

I'd say this:

Resolution
Refresh rate
Sync
Panel
Small bezels
Response time
Display port

I prefer the monitor to have 144hz and 1ms response time.

oke this might be a bit hard, if you're going over 1080p you're leaving the tn panel and going into the ips at 60hz and higher ms or
