Want to swap cpu in my Asus K53Z

I have an Asus K53Z with a AMD A4-3300M, I also have a Intel Core i5-2540M.
Can I replace my AMD with my i5?
I have never replaced the CPU o a laptop before. If I can, what can I expect?

You can expect disappointment. The CPUs are probably soldered in and even if you could, they have different sockets.

I know that the CPU is readily changeable. A simple twist lock ad it pops right out. The sockets however, that sounds like a issue.

Interesting design. Yes, the sockets will be different between the AMD and the Intel CPUs.

Intels cpus will not work on AMD boards and vise versa.
