[SOLVED] Want to test a sound bar speakers, need a tool which says the speaker from which audio is played

Hi,

I have a sound bar connected to my macbook pro through hdmi. I am trying to test the sound bar, playing a 5.1 test audio file. I want to know from which speaker the audio is playing through a tool or a program for proof. Is there any such tool available?

Your ears are probably the best tool for this purpose. Just listen close up to the soundbar (remove the front grill if possible) and it should be obvious. If you can't tell whether the sound is coming from the correct speaker then it probably doesn't matter.
