Want to transfer Windows 7 to another drive w/out transferring data.

I want to to transfer Windows 7 from one drive to another without taking the data with it. Is this possible? I want to know if this can be done legally and I don't want to use windows 7 on the old drive.

You can't simply transfer the OS like you are saying. It will require a fresh install to be done on the new drive. You may be able to transfer the license to the new drive though, which would be legal. Then you could just map to the old directories on the old drive from the new one.
