So I have a windows 8.1 tablet that I upgraded to windows 10 a month ago and I don't even use it anymore, It's a dell venue 8 pro and windows came pre-installed in it. Anyway, I want to build a new PC with windows 10, but I really don't want to buy another license. Is there a way I can extract the key from my tablet through "Magical Jelly Bean Key Finder" and somehow un-activate windows on my tablet to use on a new PC? (Sorry if that's a little hard to understand)

you get 30 days to change your mind and go back before the free upgrade, after that, the 8.1 key is useless and can't be used again.

his question is can he move his new win 10 upgrade to a new pc, not can he possibly maybe go back to win 8 on his old one. he also can't try to be slick and install win 8.1 on the new pc and then try for a second free upgrade. MS is pretty good at making sure this is not happening. one upgrade and it is tied to the initial hardware.
To expound a bit, devices from companies such as in your case, Dell, come with an OEM license for Windows. This license is non-transferable, and is to live and die on the machine it originally came installed on, the most basic portion of the machine being considered the motherboard. The only exception is in the case of motherboard failure and replacement due to repair. You agreed to the OEM licensing terms the first time you used Windows on the product.

If you want a transferable license, you need to purchase a retail version of Windows, not to be confused with an OEM version purchased at a retail outlet.

On another note, you might want to be aware some key finders will happily steal your keys and share malware with your computer.

Edit: If you don't use the tablet anymore, why not sell it for the cost of a copy of Windows?

since he went for the free win 10 upgrade, the install is tied to the hardware the upgrade was performed on. so all this is really not relevant to this particular case, though it is true.

it's that simple, free upgrade not transferable. you got to buy a new copy of windows for the new pc.
