Want to upgrade CPU on ASUS P8P67 motherboard

I currently have an i5-2500K processor and I'm looking to possibly upgrade to an I7. I use my PC for gaming and video editing. What options do I have to upgrading the CPU if I stay with the same ASUS P8P67 motherboard?

3770k would be the best choice and the fastest availlable for this motheboard... as ASHISH65 wrote, make sure to have the latest bios update and that'll work fine.

the 2500k is still a beast, you could overclock it a lot and save you 300+$ as the 3770k (or 2600k) are just 3570k (or 2500k) with hyperthreading and a little more cache, it'll not be double the performance over the 2500k...

3570k Oc to 4.5-4.6 is as fast as a stock 3770k (3.5ghz) so the 2500k OC to the same level (or more as they don't heat much) would be plenty for non 24/7 video editing...
