Want to upgrade from a Saphire 7970 to what ?

My current build is win 7 64 bit, AMD FX-6100, Asus M5A97 mobo,12 gig ram, 2- 256 gig ssd's ,1000 watt PS, Sapphire HD7970,Asus 24 inch IPS monitor. wanting to upgrade the graphics first then the mobo and was wondering what we be a better upgrade for me for around $200.00 ? AMD or Nvidia, doesn't matter to me just looking for something better than what I have now, I play BF4 and Lotro right now and looking for something that will play the high end games coming out this year. for the most part I don't over clock just run stock. been looking off and on all day and no closer to any one card yet. Thanks for the help. BTW, my current card is:Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 OC with Boost 3GB DDR5 DL-DVI-I/SL-DVI-D/HDMI/DP PCI-Express

get a better cpu (like amd fx 8320) and get a 280x to crossfire your 7970 , what brand is your psu?

I would recommend staying with what you have an upgrading your processor first.
The 7970 is about on par with the 770, which is enough for current gen gaming.

The 6100 however, is a very weak processor in terms of gaming, very weak single threaded performance.
You can either drop in an 8320, or look at the intel side (H97 and 4590).

I did upgrade to the 8 core, what a huge difference. My boot time went from 40 seconds to 15 average. 6 months to a year old graphics card still as good as what I have now ? I really like the high quality graphics and still have the speed.
