Hi,

I have pre-built gaming system specification as below:

CPU: Intel - Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (₹16659.00 @ Amazon India)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-B250M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (₹8589.00 @ Amazon India)
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (₹3593.00 @ Amazon India)
Video Card: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB AMP! Edition Video Card (₹26500.00 @ Amazon India)
Case: Corsair - SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (₹7499.00 @ Amazon India)
Monitor: BenQ - GW2470H 23.8" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor (₹9930.00 @ Amazon India)
Memory: HyperX Fury Black 8 GB Kit (2x4GB) 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM Desktop Memory (HX421C14FBK2/8)

I noticed my memory consumption is very high when I play games(e.g. Genshin impact/Elden Ring) and use chrome/other apps in background, Games get stuck/chrome stops responding. I intend to use some apps in background.

If i upgrade memory to 16 GB, will it solve problem? if yes could you please suggest if should I add 2 more Memory sticks of same brand/capacity.

Currently HyperX Fury Black 8 GB Kit (2*4GB) 2133 MHz DDR4 (HX421C14FBK2/8) is not available on Amazon India or any other vendors in India region.
Could you please suggest if different brands of memory (e.g. Existing HyperX Fury(24GB) with Kingston (24GB)) works together? or should I replace existing with new set altogether? Please suggest products available in India.

8 GB of another brand with the same specifications could work with existing Fury, but that's not certain.

If you want certainty, buy 16 GB new and don't use the old RAM. A 2 x 8 kit of two sticks, sold as a unit for a single price.

I have no idea what is available in India.

That should at least HELP your problem, but you could have other issues unrelated to RAM. That is unknown.

Thanks for reply, Is QVL list provided on Gigabyte website only compatible Ram, if i need to check compatibility of motherboard/Ram where can i check apart from QVL list?

Is there any way I can log applications which is slowing down machine? like any utility which maintain cpu/memory/GPU usage when game gets stuck due to background apps.
