Hey, I currently have a Asrock AB350M-HDV but I want to upgrade. What is a good motherboard so I can replace the one I currently have.

Solution
Its kinda small and I want to upgrade my cpu to a ryzen 7 overclocked and I heard you can't really overclock that good with this motherboard, maby I got incorrect information about overclocking with this moba but yeah.
B350's almost all had pretty poor VRM's so I think you're probably right about overclocking, especially an 8 core CPU.

But which ryzen 7 precisely? If you're looking at a Ryzen 7 5800X I'd suggest a good B550 board...for that matter really a Ryzen 7 3700x or 3800X too. B550 is 'officially' compatible only with 3000 and 5000 CPU's so a Ryzen 7 2700X is best on a B450 board and while some B550's have been known to work with them that could change with a BIOS update.

And FWIW, overclocking in a conventional sense...

I see, nice to know. Do you maby have a suggestion for a B450/B550 board?

What are the rest of your system specs including CPU, both that you have now and will get, GPU, memory and PSU in particular.

I'm assuming you want an ATX board since your current mATX was too small.
yeah its to small, ATX will be fine.

my specs:
cpu- ryzen 1500x
gpu- gtx 1060 3gb superclocked
ram - 16gb ddr4 ram 3000mhz
psu - Corsair CX650F RGB

For any 2nd or 3rd gen Ryzen 7 cpu (3700X/3800X/5800X) a good choice would be MSI B550 Gaming Plus, better is Asus TUF B550 Gaming Plus, better still is Asus ROG B550 Strix-F, a conditional best is MSI B550 Tomahawk.

I doubt your 1500X would work in any of them even to update BIOS but they have a flashback feature so you can do it without any CPU if it's needed.
