Question Want to upgrade my cpu but in order to i need to upgrade my motherboard, any suggestions?

I've been seeing i7 8700's for less than 100$, so would it really be worth it to spend a bit more for an ssd thats not very good?

Edit: Dont forget to buy a good aftermarket cooler, as the 9700K runs way hotter than your i3.

don't waste money in old hardware if you want to play the new games... you can run a 4070ti or a Rx 7800xt with this 13500T (has same power of a 12600k) but whatver motherboard can boost this cpu 95W all daylong... and for a 169 dollar It's a Steal in value!

sadly the guy backed out, but luckily i found a i7 8700 for 65$

I've been looking at cpu's and I've been needed a cpu for 1151 socket, and these 2 are pretty cheap and the same price? Whats the difference between the 2? Is there one thats better than the other are is each one better in a different thing?
