Want to upgrade my old pc!!

i was thinking about upgrading my old pc. It is not for gaming so i need Budget processor and motherboard for it! Although it will be nice if it could run some old game( i am form india)

Sorry for late reply i was out of town............. so i have 500gb hdd, 4gb ram, 300 watt psu, gtx 210. I need a new motherboard 4gb ram and a processor
Although i have a gaming pc with gtx 970 and i5 4460 still i want my old pc to be in working condition and ssd is also good suggestion

Thanks but this motherboard is not available in india so any other options!!!
Although the processor is quite cheap here but the price of the motherboard with lga 1151 socket and ddr4 ram is quite high here and almost smae as that of the processor so will it be worth it.

For what purpose do you intend to use this system? I bet you can get like used i3 4130 or 4150 with some mobo and ram cheaper than this and it will perform much better.

I Have a gaming pc so i just want a solid rig for basic functions thats why i want spend a little less money on upgrading it

It is fine for basic task.1st gen i3 but it will do the job just fine.

Dont buy the i3. You can afford a brand new G4400 system.

This will leave you with a much better upgrade path, assurance/warranty and will ultimately run faster. That ist gen i3 combo could brake down anytime.
