I got an old pc and i already did some upgrades but now it's outdated so i want to upgrade my system but i am not sure what to upgrade? To play newer games on 1080p, 60 fps is Ok, i dont need 200 fps (more is better tho but i want a basic rig)

System:
CPU: I5 2300
GPU: MSI GTX 750TI
Motherboard: ms 7707
Ram: DDR3 (2*4GB)
PSU: Some cheap 400 watt
Harddrives: Samsung SSD 750 250gb and a 2 tb blue

I was thinking about buying a gtx 1060, but i am not sure if it will get bottlenecked by my cpu? I will probally buy a new psu aswell.

Thanks in advance

Solution
First and foremost, a new, quality, power supply. After that a new GPU would be a good start. Your CPU may bottleneck some, but you will still do far better than what you have, and you can reuse it in a new rig later on. Much depends on your budget.

On Ebay I've seen a Ryzen 4c/8t 1500x for $126

a 6c/12t 1600 for $150

They can use any b350 motherboard. A gtx1060 is better for a ryzen 1500x than a 1600.

The processor comes with a good fan and heatsink.

Get a gold-rated power supply 550-650W. They normally have the more reliable Japanese capacitors.

You want a 140mm fan outside for summer. Mine is a Thermaltake TT 1425, from Ebay. Makes no noise at only 17dB & has a long cable.
