First things first, I am happy with my processor, GPU, and memory.... I just don't know where to go from here...

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Wamlab/saved/hXZXsY (NZXT CHEAP LEDS NOT INCLUDED)

I have 200 dollars allocated for upgrades (but i'd like so have some remaining afterwords) and I dont know where to put them...

These were my thoughts...

A SSD to put my OS on and maybe CS, or some frequently played games on...
My PC is a bit loud so possibly a fan controller or a water cooling system for my GPU or CPU (LEDs are a plus)
A replacement Mic for my CAD u3 condenser mic...
Maybe a second HHD?

(Yes, I know the all red theme is a bit crazy)

but I dont know where to go from here... any suggestions are helpful!

(Also, any suggestions for my non techy family members, my mothers birthday is coming up so I want to get her something cool that easy for her to use!)

Thanks in advance, Jack

I'd agree on the PSU. That eVga isn't the best though, so I'd look for another model.

With the money left over(200 is way overkill for a quality PSU for your needs) I'd save up a bit more and toss in a 240/256gb SSD drive. Something that will make your system feel *snappier*.

:edit: Shoot, with these prices, buy them both.

Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($81.49 @ OutletPC)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($64.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $146.48
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

i second this, everything is else pretty good. Maybe OC the CPU a bit after you upgrade the PSU, would not try it with the current one.

Solution

Probably a stupid question, but would it be stupid to use the same modular cables as before and just switch out the PSU, adding the new extra cables, or would that pose issues?

it shouldn't pose an issue at all. though the cables on the evga b2 might consist of more optimal lengths and might be braided/coupled in a way that makes them easier to use and prettier.

dont get that seasonic s12ii non modular bronze unit for $64 when you can get a fully modular gold rated seasonic(evga gs series) for $7 more....

the superflower evga b2 is still the best bang for you buck as its nearly silver and semi modular for much much less.
