I currently have a 64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce4 TI 4200 in my 2.0 Pentium 4. I would like to start using my PC as a TiVo type device. What video card would you recommend I pick up? Should I get one to replace the GeForce 4 or just a TV capture card and use it as a secondary card?

BTW, I am a big gamer so yes the performance of my video card matters.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Depends on what (and if) games you want to play. Obviously a 4200 will play anything out today, but if you'll be interested in playing future games, grab a AIW 9800Pro, or wait for the new AIW cards that are based on R420, 423. If you don't wanna invest a lot of money on a gaming card, just grab any one of the TV Wonders listed here.

when i said that there was no mention of games in his post, then you were focusing mainly on games, thats all.
