Want to wipe my hard drive for use on a new computer

I have a 1TB hard drive with windows 7 installed in my computer, How can i wipe it clean from the computer it is installed on and prepare it for a new computer as a primary hard drive where i'll install windows 8.1?
 
Solution
The Windows disc will have a format option during the option. You can wipe it then. If you want to wipe it before even installing Windows, you can use Gparted or a live Linux CD, such as Ubuntu, to wipe it:
