I'm sorry, but no one should be eager to get their hands on a new OS until at least the first service pack for it is released.

I've been using it since it was a baby and it was great, it is even better now. I am part of the Insiders group and it is a great OS.

Also tried it out on Insider. Ran like an EA server and eventually crashed, then got stuck in an unbootable state. And before you suggest it, no, it wasn't my hardware.

From my experience on this final build, it is buggy and unstable. Good luck with it. Only device where it worked well was with Surface Pro 3 and old PC. System with X79 and newest X99 chipset absolutely hated it. Overall Windows 10 brings nothing...couldn't find a single feature worth upgrading to and then realized Windows 7 is still a keeper. I want to use applications like Visual Studio 2015, Adobe etc and play all games with great experience and right now Windows 10 doesn't offer that.

Maybe it will in a year or so but all i know is that OS needs major update so i would guess no upgrade here until redstone and then i will give it a one more shot before i bury windows 10 for good.

Let`s take your logic, and nobody will get the OS till the first Service Pack (there won`t be any for Win 10 anyway). How would they make the service pack if nobody uses the OS to report problems to be fixed ?

Stop the useless smarta** hating for a change.

Maybe you should look into how Windows 10 automatically shares your WiFi information with all your Facebook friends. And then if they ever log onto your network, all their friends get your WiFi info, too.

I'll wait until all of the rubbish is exposed and cleaned up. Then I'll hop on board.

Microsoft delivered Windows 8.2 with crap load of backdoors and what not. What i was hoping to see is Windows 7.5 not having any of that crap.

Agreed, I'm also a Insider and it's lightyears better than windows 8 and a little bit better than windows 7. 😀

Love it or hate it, if you have a qualifying Windows 7/8 license you might want to get the upgrade license established if you're able within the year. I also feel like I should at least be versed in what will become an OS more popular than Windows 8, least of all the install process. The only thing Windows 10 brings that has been long overdue is that it's been made a little easier to change the default storage folders for some things. However that is all post install as far as I've been told. It's long past due for Windows, in this SSD/HDD age, to be aware and able to utilize more than one storage device during the install process. It's time we were able to easily root the 'User' folder to its own hard drive at time of install.

My plan is to have it installed on main os drive and keep copy of my last working windows 7 ultimate on backup drive, this way i can easily go into bios and setup the backup as main and continue what

Before you rush to get this OS, you need to ask yourself, "How much do I value my privacy?" If you recall, Win10 beta recorded all key strokes and listened to all connected devices. In the world we live in today, I find it hard to believe that MS would disable this stuff completely. Those features are too valuable to governments and other spying agencies to not use them against us.

There won't be a "service pack" for Windows 10 - it gets continuously upgraded, though a larger set of improvements is scheduled for October.

That feature of WiFi Sense is completely optional. It is also encrypted and, if used, only allows those friends to access the Internet, not the local LAN. The same feature has been on Windows Phone 8.1 and has just been integrated with Windows 10 (like a lot of the best WP features - Offline Maps, WiFi Sense, Batter Sense, etc.)

It actually can make it MORE secure, as you don't have to tell your friends the password.
