Against all expectations, my brother is getting married next year. In
honor of this momentous occasion, I am planning to make a custom pin for
them. Since I don't feel like ROM reprogramming (too much like work),
and my brother's probably capable of keeping an EM machine healthy, I
want to take an existing EM down to the bare wood and then create new
custom art for it.
SO, what I'm looking for is a machine that is: (a) electromechanically
sound; (b) cosmetically unsalvageable. Ideally, all (or nearly all)
coils, relays, motors and wiring would be in good condition (dirty and
oxidized, but not broken, burned, or missing). All paint is optional
(actually, the less the better). Minor dings, but few or no huge gouges
or cracks in playfield or cabinet. No serious water damage, rot, or
warpage. Backglass and playfield glass not required. Legs optional. No
strong smells .
A '70s vintage 1 or 2 player US-made EM would be great. I'm hoping for
*free* here ("take my junk -- please!"), but I'm willing to pay a token
amount, as appropriate. I will pick up, of course, at your convenience.
I am willing to travel up to about 150 miles from central NJ. I am
also planning to attend the White Rose Gameroom Show in York, PA next month.
My thanks, and a promise of pictures of the completed project (and a
credit on the nameplate) are yours if you help me out!
