I scanned the forums for information on this topic however I was unable to locate anything so I will attempt to ask a question.

I have a Comcast cable connection I have
one NETGEAR R6300v2 source router,
there are two DLink WireLess Range Extenders DAP1650 and DAP1320 and
one older Zyzel NBG6716 router which is acting as access point ( connected via Ethernet to the network).

(I also have a Asus RT-AC68U waiting in the wings to be opened because it was on sale and I fight with my NETGEAR router all the time but haven't transitioned to it yet)

anyway right now there are 7 SSIDs in my home. Each item except for the Dlink DAP-1320 is dual band, so there's 2.4 and 5Ghz on each of the others all having unique names.

Please someone point me to the right resource which might help me to create a network with all these devices and 2 SSID.s
Is it possible for the IOS devices, Android phones and tablets, and laptops to find the strongest and just go to that one. Right now if we are in the back we manually change to X and if we are in the front we manually change to Y or upstairs we manually change to Z. Is there any hope?

Solution
You should start with one router, assign it's SSID to whatever you want.
do the same with second product, in pretty much all decent routers/AP's you can define SSID name, set name/password to same as on 1st router.
repeat until you have gone through all routers/AP's

you get less SSID's and computer should be able to switch to next if one gets too weak. Most phones/laptops can reattach to same SSID name on different router/AP if name/password for it is same.
