Wanting to buy another SSD

This is my current rig : Asus z170 PRO gaming ( motherboard)
GTX 1070
16gb RAM
i5 6500
Samsung 850 EVO 256 GB

Basically i want to add another SSD to have more space and i saw for example the Samsung 960 Pro model but i want to know if these 2 could work or any other recomandations

If you're looking to raid the two SSD's then it's best you forgo that route and keep each SSD as a stand alone drive. If you're interested in knowing if the Samsung 960 Pro will be able to drop into your board, then yes it will. You may want to read through this as well.

Thanks for the quick reply,I don't know what raiding means or anything related that much tbh, a friend helped me make my PC and he build it. Now i just want more space for videogames because they are getting bigger in size and i was thinking SSD's are faster than HDD's but i'm listening to any advice

In that case just pick up a standard 2.5" form factor SSD and connect it off the next available SATA port on your motherboard. That would help extend the storage of your game library. If you want to use an SSD for storing video files, then they are an expensive solution where a platter/mechanical drive would suffice.

What about HDD’s ? I just want more space for games and a few movies, are SSD’s really that faster for games than SSD’s ?
