Hey everyone,

I'm looking to make my PC more powerful for gaming.

My specs are -

Motherboard: ECS A55F2-M3
Cpu: AMD Athlon X4 750K Quad Core
Gpu: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB
Ram: 8gb
Psu: is 600w

The tower is plenty big and has room to grow. People tell me I need a new cpu. If that is true will I need to upgrade my motherboard as well? What suggestions would you guys give for a motherboard /cpu combo? I play games like the arma/dayz, skyrim, crisis, etc.

Also if I replace the motherboard will I need to reinstall Windows as well?

I'd like to keep the cost around 350 dollars. If at all possible.

My singleplayer gaming runs around 80-60 fps on average. Multiplayer matches can dip much lower depending .

Thanks in advance guys!

Well that motherboard according to ECS will take the AMD A10-5800K which should give you a nice performance upgrade from where you are.

I would upgrade the CPU and then see where you are as far as performance. You might be able to get away with just the CPU upgrade the rest of the system does not look to bad.
Here is the CPU Chart for your motherboard http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?CategoryID=1&DetailID=1356&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=1&LanID=0 . Newegg has the A10 5800K for about $140 less than your budget. With just the CPU upgrade you would not have to re-install Windows. However with a motherboard upgrade you most likely would need to re-format and re-install Windows as Windows does not like...

Multiplayer games are more CPU dependent than single so upgrading the CPU could help with that as well.
