Wanting to get a job at Microcenter

I'll be moving in a month or so and starting my next semester of school. I'd like to get a job at a place like Microcenter or maybe Frys. Not necessarily a computer repair place, but somewhere where I can be around all sorts of hardware and PC related stuff like Microcenter.

What could I start doing now to be prepared and qualified to work somewhere like that?

I'm computer literate but I'm not necessary deep into technical details. I know what everything is but I don't necessarily know all the jargon and finer details.

Well duh. But what would be the extent of knowledge I'd be expected to have to be healthily qualified?
