Wanting to hook up hisence 55n6 tv to Yamaha 5.1 the 4071 I hooked them both up to arc still won’t work

Hicence 551n to Yamaha the 4071 5.1 surround cable to ark on both still won’t work

You have to have ARC in both the TV and the receiver for it to work.
You have to connect the HDMI out of the receiver to the HDMI-ARC input on the TV,
You have to turn ARC on in the TV menu. You may also have to turn the TV speakers off.
You have to assign ARC to an input name on the receiver in the input set up menu,
You can use the audio output of the TV instead of ARC. Sound quality is the same.
