Hey

I have a
i7-7700k
32Gb
Corsair RM650x
ASUS Z270M
ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB

and long story short it's not cutting it currently. It was built in late 2016? So overall it's definitely time to build a new pc, but until I can do that I need to be able to use Adobe premiere without issue. I believe the graphics card is either finding its limit or going bad, there's some strange new graphics issues that are causing freezes and hang-ups. Basically I'm wondering if I buy a newer graphics card, should it work in a pc like that without too much issue? Or is there a better graphics card available from that generation you would recommend? If I can use a modern graphics card, what would you recommend ideally around the $300-400 range? Sorry for asking you to do the research for me, I've been looking into it but overall I'm a filmmaker not an it person, and it gets really overwhelming. I think it would take me hours of a research to learn what you probably already know.

Thanks!

How old is this PSU?

You could look at the RX 9060 XT;

however, please be wary that Adobe's suite of app's are optimized for Nvidia GPU's. At your price point, going with the RTX 5060 Ti;

wouldn't be something I'd advise due to it leveraging only 8 lanes.

I'd advise on saving up for a new build instead of buying parts across time to end up with a pseudo new build.

My 2 cents.
