I am wanting to upgrade from Windows Server 2008 R2 to a newer version of Windows Server, but, want to make sure the product I buy is legitimate. With that being said, I really don't want to spend $1500 just to get a new license of Windows Server. I've seen on Amazon, licenses uch as this: https://www.amazon.com/Windows-Server-2012-Standart-OEM/dp/B083M5XSQF

And this: https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Server-2019-Essentials-2CPU/dp/B07JZ5L7NH , but was wondering if any of those are legitimate. Granted, the 2019 there says "By Microsoft", I still want to be sure.
Than there's that Server 2012... by "MS Server"..... That's kind of suspicious. $185 USD. But than again, maybe someone here bought a license for a Microsoft Product off of Amazon, and it's legitimate and works. And I'd really rather not mess with the Cloud (Azure)...
Thank you in advance for any responses to this thread.

Server 2012, "By MS Server" and $185....hahaha

That is all sorts of 'not legit'.

It costs what it costs.
Where are you seeing "$1500"?

Direct from MS:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-platform/windows-server-pricing
Not sure exactly where I saw $1500, but I saw it somewhere on Microsoft.com. As I said, not sure exactly where.
Server Essentials is really all I'd need, but don't want to spend $501 on it. Any ideas if https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Server-2019-Essentials-2CPU/dp/B07JZ5L7NH is legit? I know I bought my Windows 10 Professional disc and key from Amazon - it's legit and it said "By Microsoft" on the page.

With all this being said, I might just have to throw $500 and some change at MS.

EDIT!:
Why is MS charging $501 for the Essentials on their https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/cloud-platform/windows-server-pricing page, but only $369 for this, if this is indeed Microsoft selling it through Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Server-2019-Essentials-2CPU/dp/B07JZ5L7NH - Something doesn't add up here.

$501 is what it costs.

$369 at Amazon may be legit.

Just like a Win 10 Home license from Amazon is a little bit cheaper than direct from MS.
$100 vs $130.
I think I might go ahead and try the one from Amazon ($369).
Wish me luck

EDIT: When you click Microsoft on the amazon page for it, it goes to a thing where Microsoft is on Amazon.
