i currently am running 2 8600 gts gpu's. I cant play newer games with my set up anymore and am looking to replace them. however, I dont now what to get. i found a geforce 730 gt for $60 but i dont know if that would be an upgrade or not.

I don't think it will be much of an improvement, as a matter of fact I found online that the 730 is 34% better than one 8600, meaning performance might be worse. You should save for a 750Ti instead.

Well, there's brands. There's Zotac, Asus, MSI, EVGA, and more. EVGA sold the most 700 series graphics cards and their 750Ti I have found to be higher clocked than the ones made by other brands. They also come factory overclocked or non factory overclocked, so many differences there. I own the EVGA 750Ti superclocked, so from a personal standpoint it's a great card.

They are all similar, different brand, look, fans, clockrate, etc.
