Wants to use my 5.1 speakers of Sony home theater to another system

My sonyHCD-DZ556KB dvd receiver of home theater system is unrepaireable, wants to use its 5.1 speakers for new DVDs player, how can I use it ?

Plug it in to another 5.1 receiver. Good luck on that note, those things are hard to find on their own without spending a ton.

You have to have an amp, like the reciever to power the speakers. The dvd is not an amp.
