The WRT is a broadband router with a built-in wireless access point. It
has a WAN port and 4 LAN ports. If you don't have a broadband router
already, this might be a good solution.

The WAP is a wireless access point only. It has only one ethernet port
for connecting it to a wired network. If you already have a broadband
router (or firewall appliance), this might be the better solution...
