I want to play warcraft 2 Battlenet edition between two XP machines. I have a
serial null modem cable db9/db9. I got the two computers to communicate
through hyperterminal but the game still doesnt work.
machine #1 is a HP Pavillion 523n using XP home.
machine #2 is a dell 8200 laptop using XP home.
How do i know which com port is assigned to the serial port?
Please help and thanks in advance.
Trying to play the game with my 12 year old. Lol!

Hi Tony,

You'll have far less difficulty connecting those two machines
using TCP/IP over Ethernet cable. You'll either need to use
a hub with your existing network setup if it doesn't have a
router, or use a crossover cable to connect the directly from
NIC to NIC (Network Interface Card). I hope that helps!
