Wario Land 4 for GBA - saves lost when console is powered ..

The save system works as intended while the console is powered on.
Once it's powered off though, even if it's powered on immediately
afterwards, all saves disappear and I have to start over. Anybody
knows what's this?

The cartridge battery might be dead, so unless you can change it it's
not going to work as intended.

Not sure what type of battery it is, but you could just try leaving the
console on for 4/5 hours, switched on with the game in. If its the
rechargable lithium kind, it should solve the problem else your screwed 🙁

Are you sure it's an original game, and not a pirate?
