My system will not warm boot using ctrl.alt.del or the restart command in the start menu. The only thing that it will do is restart in MS-Dos mode and from there I can type exit. the system just hangs if I restart any other way. It shuts down all operations and begins the restart process, but it just sits at the blank screen. I also use the reset button and it does the same thing. I thought it may be in the APM feature but everything checks-out. Just put in a new mobo and every since then it won't warm boot. I was thinking there is some compatability conflict with the board since its brand new. Nothing on the website,....besides its in chinese and the english site is very limited with the info. The only way to get the system back on is to manually shut and restart (and that is not good for any mobo or pwr supply). Have any suggestions?

That’s a tricky one.

Here is what I would try.
1 Check the bios and make sure Virus scan is off, then check the stand bye/sleep setting. Try different setting until you eliminate the BIOS as the problem.
2 Then check windows APM and try different setting to eliminate that as a problem.
3 I seem to remember the “wake on LAN” on network cards causing problems, disconnect it form your mobo and see if it helps.
4 I assume you checked for conflicts in system but just in case you haven’t yet.
If none of these suggestions work let us know and post your system specs (mobo,OS,etc).

Thx & Cya
