WARNING! Nube! Dell Precision 490 upgrading RAM

I have a Dell Precision 490 and I am upgrading RAM. The RAM I ordered is specific for my machine. When I install it I get 5 beeps (can't find beep solution in user manual). I have tried resetting CMOS and I am running Windows 7 64 bit. What am I missing?

Take it out then back in. I have had a pc do this many, i repeat many times not turn on due to ram being finicky. If not try 1 stick at a time.

I remember the first time I installed ram it didn't go in all the way because I didn't press it in hard enough and got the same beeping. If that's not the case try what closetwhisperer1 said

I had a similar problem with upgrading ram on a Dell T3400. With both of the sticks that I had bought installed my pc wouldn't boot to windows and beeped 5 times. After trying one stick at a time I found one of them was faulty, the other worked fine. Hope this helps.
