Warranty for used laptops not bought off specific site?

Hello, I was thinking of purchasing a laptop from a member of a forum, and I am wondering if there are any companies that offer a warranty for a laptop that you can bring in, etc.

On a side note, how good is Razer's laptop build quality?

don´t know razer as laptop "manufacturer" but offers a warranty of only one year.
