I bought a pair of 8GB DDR4 3333mHz RAM at eBay for 100 dollars (new - other condition). Fast forward almost a year, a power outage killed them. Is it allowed for me to ask the seller to send me the original receipt (if he has it), and send it over to HyperX or Kingston to RMA my memory modules? I read that there is lifetime warranty for HyperX Memory modules, and nothing about excluding second hand or any details about the type of damage received, which in this case, was a power outage. Or would it be better to contact the company that made my surge protector and reason with them?
