Question Was I mis-sold my ram?

Hi all,

I bought some ram from Amazon a while ago, it was Corsair Vengeance and was rated at 3000MHz. However today I've downloaded CPU-Z in the the memory tab it shows DRAM Frequency of 1066 MHz. Have I been mis-sold my ram as it was advertised as being 3000MHz?

You may need to enable XMP in BIOS. Also, check if your motherboard works with 3000Mhz.

No, it’s running at the default 2133mhz (2x1066). You need to go into the BIOS and enable XMP. Effectively 3000mhz is overclocked and needs to be enabled.
