wassa decent colour printer about £100? Have seen the pcworld offer with a
hp DeskJet DJ6520 at about £50 and looked at the Epson 200 for £50 - not
in stock - or about £80 elsewhere. My father has a 4mp digicam and now wants
a colour printer to replace his old black one. We have an old Epson 760 and
are happy with it. He'll be knocking out A5 and A4 prints but not in any
great quantity, time spent printing is not an issue. Ink costs might be. It
seems that chipped/replacement ink carts are available for the Epson but not
for HP DJ6520 . The Epson 300 looks good too.

Any polite thoughts from folks who have used a variety of printers recently
will be appreciated.

Happy Christmas BTW

Best you'll get an R200 at if the PCW lot are sold out (not surprised at
that price) is Comet's website.

PCW store sold me an R200 at that price yesterday (even though it came up at
£85 at the till, they were displaying the sale price next to it). If you
wait until they open I expect they'll offer that in all stores...curiously,
the website has offers on until the 27th... I bet on the 27th the stores
will be matching it...

Comet £69.99 free delivery.

Si.

I love my canon s500. Bought from pissy world last year. I get canon
compatable cartridges from a chap on ebay , very cheap. The colour carts are
all seperate too so that if you run out of say yellow, you don't have to
throw all the other colours away and buy new.

I bought an Epson R300 a couple of weeks ago and it is the bees knees
..I use a canon 10D digital camera and the prints from the Epson are
excellent ..Use good quality paper tho and set the preferences
properly ..mine was £99 from PCW but u can possibly get it cheaper in
your area ...It does CD's/DVD's as well

Getting them done commercially even in small quantities wil give the
best results and will probably be cheaper. Obviously not as convenient
though.
