That's all nice. I got 3900x and it is slow as molasses. To encode 4k movie with it using Handbreak, takes up to 5 hours. 8/16 i7 7820x was doing much faster.

You are comparing x264 encoding to an Intel QuickSync H.264 encoding. There is no quality comparison between the two, as x264 will beat it every time. As with every hardware encoder, like QS, it falls short.

May be use this processor on a true OS Linux for not have any software limitations keep your privacy without send any data to the developer and be GNU.

Yes Windows 10 home/pro can't even support this processor correctly nice to have pay for that no ?

So instead of getting a writer who is experienced in coding and algorithms to explain how Genius is the man who coded this , Tomshardware is talking like a potatoes seller who does not know anything about computers and coding.

fine tomshardware fine , keep going down.

Well, if this article is old and fake, and report worthy, maybe I should report you for going off topic!! :tearsofjoy:

I think you've missed the whole point of the article. It's not about which ecosystem is best, or which processor is best, and under what load type. It's only about appreciating the creativity, and ingenuity of the content creator. If you have trouble with that, then just take the trolling somewhere else, or at least make your point with an article that gives context. You're just brow beating for the sake of it.

Personally, I've been loving all these little fun articles, specially with the Raspberry PI and the cool ideas they come up with. I'm not the creative type, but I love to see what other people can come up with.

Cheer up buddy, smile. You might enjoy it.

i7 7820x is on par with old TR doing ~170 frames per sec.

and here you have same screen of old TR doing ~170 frames while 3900x doing 270 frames per sec.

you have either set the cpu to run without turbo, or have other issue.
