Is there an optimization issue with this game or is it hugely CPU demanding? My CPU fluctuates between 77-100% very rapidly, sometimes causing large frame drops. The recommended CPU is a i5 3470 and I'm well above that. The only way I've found to reduce the CPU usage is by reducing the frame rate to 30 fps from 60 fps. All graphics presets low to ultra maintain that very high CPU usage.

about bad ports, the last batman crashed and burn, doesn't exist for pc anymore, it was so bad they gave money back

this one is just too cpu hungry, nothing we haven't seen in the past i am afraid

patience and budget to get the i7 to keep running this race

Sorry, I should have searched the forum. It seems there are many reports that this game is heavily CPU dependent and likely only able to perform well on high end i7's. Sigh, nevermind.

I don't know about 6 months or less but the need for more processing power could be coming sooner than we expected. Some games I have no trouble at all on i5 4 core/thread. There is a lot of talk that Watch Dogs 2 has big optimization issues anyway.

Well I suppose that's true but people have payed for these "bad ports". I guess you could argue that you should review a game first before buying. Do you know for a fact Watch Dogs is a port? I think companies are doing major false advertising by releasing poor PC ports.

I actually average at about 77% CPU usage in the game so it is somewhat playable but it does hit 95-100% a lot with minor sometimes major frame drops. I've seen complaints even from the latest Intel i7 Cpu's so the issue must lie with the game on this one.
