I have been playing Watch Dogs 2 for 6 hours now i bought it yesterday and the FPS has been horrible. Everything is on ultra i have tried putting the graphics down but still no fps improvement.
Specs:
GPU: GTX 1070 Zotac
CPU: Intel I7 6700
RAM: 8GB DDR4
Motherboard: Z170X-Gaming 3
Storage: 240GB SSD and 1TB HDD (Watch Dogs 2 is on my 1TB)

Any help would be great thanks.

Solution
Well, even the i7 will cause frame drops. It's very CPU heavy.

The 1070 can't do everything maxed. Make sure u are on SMAA firstly. Drop screen space reflections to the first notch (not maxed) and take shadows down to very high.

Drop geometry to high to help the CPU.

what's the resolution ? and whats the average FPS and FPS drop then. it's known that even high end GPUs like gtx 1080 and 1070 cannot give best gaming experience

i did try WD2 on my GTX1070 from ASUS, and yes, i wasnt able to keep it 60FPS in ULTRA settings :/

Resolution is 1920x1080 and when i am in the hacker space the FPS is 60-70 but when i go out of it it drops down to 30 then sometimes the FPS drops down to 12 as well

That's strange... i think the reason might be 8 GB RAM.
My PC is gtx 1070, i5 4690 and 16GB RAM and as u can see even with poor CPU it works good. My quess is 8GB RAM. Ive not played it recently as im on DISHONORED 2 now and i cant remember what was the exact RAM usage .

I just came about this thread. Downloaded WD2 yesterday.

I have gtx 1070 8 gigs, dropped the geometry and set most of the settings on medium. 55-60 fps while driving, 60 fps on foot. This game has a really weird engine
