watch live tv

hi i have unlimited internet and am paying heavy for it but also have tv set tob box. this means i am paying heavy on it i use tv just to watch live tv news not for entertainment can anybody guide me as to how to make my tv smart tv and how to view live news on it through wifi or cabled hdmi or whatever so i can save
