Watchning twitch streams cause massive cpu usage

so i have a system with a
fx 6300 amd cpu 6 core
16gb of ddr ram @1300mhz
660 geforce gc
and 500w power supply

so for the last week when ever i watch i twitch stream that is 1080p my cpu jump to 60-70? were as befre it never made more than a 10-18% jump in performace im using crome for the browser any help would be nice as my cpu keeps doing wierd stuff like this and other threads havnt given any help

one tab it isnt a problem with that my computer should be more than power full to run twitch and face book

I, too have this issue recently.. I can't fathom what the hell it could be.
I can watch the exact same stream on Youtube with ~10% CPU usage (30 tabs), but when I watch the same stream in Twitch, my CPU hits 70% with the exact same tabs open.
CPU: i5-4670k
16GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x8GB)
780 Ti (1.25GHz OC)

I can clarify that it IS Twitch, removing the tab instantly plummets my usage, doesn't matter which browser I use either.
