I'm rebuilding my liquid cooled PC using an ASRock B85 Pro4 Mobo (socket 1150) with an Intel core i3-4130 CPU. I have a Koolance liquid cooling system, and currently can't find a specific block via their site. I have found several other blocks that are compatible with that socket, but all seem to use around 1/4" connectors. In previous research, it seems that cooling the CPU is probably more important than cooling the GPU, in system flow terms anyway. If this is correct, why don't they make CPU blocks with larger diameter connectors for a greater, faster flow? The main reason I ask this, is because I've had problems with the small tube fittings on my system. It seems to me that the connector barbs aren't fit for purpose as they aren't really 'barbs' but a smooth chrome spigot with a fractionally raised pair of rings on the block connectors, and only one slightly raised ring on the 10mm to 6mm adapter/connector! Resulting in these small tube connectors coming apart when moved even slightly to access the RAM cards! Are there any CPU blocks utilising 10mm connectors? Are there much better 6mm barb fittings? All help greatly appreciated.
