I am thinking of getting an open-looped water cooling system to cool my i7 3770k processor, I don't care much for cooling the graphics card. Is open looped better than closed looped? Could someone link me or post what I need for open looped water cooling? My case is an Apevia X trooper, in case you need to know if itll fit or not.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, a custom loop is much better than an all-in-one unit like a H100, which can be beaten by some air-coolers for a lower cost.

If you want to learn about watercooling, go to the watercooling forum (under overclocking) and read the guide stuck to the top. That will answer most of your questions. If its your first time watercooling, I would advise something like an XSPC Raystorm kit, which will come with everything you need for a CPU loop (except coolant and an anti-microbial solution).

You have room for a 120mm rad on the back and side of the case, with a 240mm rad at the top. The dual rad should be plenty for a CPU loop, though you will need more if you want to add graphics cards to the loop.
