Water cooled reference vs non reference

Hello all.

I would like input regarding if it would be a good choice for the money running a reference R9 290x with Kraken G10 GPU cooler via Thermaltake 3.0 Extreme, or a non reference R9 290 (not x) without the Kraken G10.

They will be around the same price. What do you guys think?

The custom cooled 290s are still for the most part reference PCB.

290x reference on water is the way to go.
