I was installing a new motherboard and replacing the coolant in the water cooler, when I was removing the cap of the cooler I removed the thread that was holding the cap with it. When I started the PC it was leaking a bit but then it stopped. Then yesterday half of the water in the cooler leaked on the paper tissue I had placed on the GPU in case it leaks again. Now my CPU is overheating, because there's a little water in the cooler which is not enough to cool it.
Cooler is Raijintek Triton 240

Was the cooler hot when you attempted to remove the cap?

Did you use pliers to remove the cap?

What did you do with respect to the "thread" that came off with respect to the cap?

Did you make some attempt to refit/reseal/glue the thread into the cooler body?

Or just refill the cooler and push the thread and cap into place?

If the seal is not tight coolant water will leak out and be lost. The cooler will not work and the CPU will, as you noted, overheat.

For the most part, it appears that you may have permanently damaged the cooler. And even if a repair is manageable I would not trust any such repairs to hold.

Any warranty on the cooler?

May be moot anyway because of the scratches around the cap may be interpreted as "user damage" by the manufacturer.

Likely that you will need to new cooler.

Simply to avoid putting the computer/CPU at risk of a catastrophic cooling failure.
