Im looking for a liquid cpu cooler that will allow me to push my i7 to 4.0Ghz :) I want to get a closed loop system aroung $60 (Below is great too!) I have an LGA 1156 socket!

Help is much appreciated!

Solution
A closed loop system in the $110 range will perform about equal to the better air coolers ($75 range) but the fans will sound like a modern vacuum cleaner at that point. Be aware of this going in. Watch...er listen to.... the video on the H100 i here:

http://martinsliquidlab.org/2013/03/12/swiftech-h220-vs-corsair-h100i-noise-testing/

The H110 is an exception in that it's fans are around 1500 rpm as opposed to the 2600 rpm on the H100i, but again ya talking a $110 expense.

No $60 AIO water cooler can compete thermally with the better air coolers (in order of thermal performance ..... Phanteks PH-TC14-PE, Thermalright Silver Arrow, Noctua DH-14)...

But as ya can see here.... the Antec 620 which is very quiet compared to the h70 comes with 4C of the Silver Arrow. As you can see the H70 does lil better on high.... but the Kuhler isn't noisy at all and with the same fans, it actually beats almost all the competitors in the benchmarkreviews test.

Coolit ECO A.L.C. 75.2 +13.4
Corsair H50 73.1 +11.3
Coolit Vantage A.L.C. (extreme) 73.0 +11.2
Prolimatech Super Mega 67.2 +5.4
Antec Kühler H2O 620 65.9 +4.1
Corsair H70 (high) 65.3 +3.5
Thermalright Venomous X 63.0 +1.2
Thermalright Silver Arrow 61.8 +0.0
Cooler Master V6 GT 61.2 -0.6

You can get some comparison of the Kuhler versus H series here:

I would venture to say, even tho you didn't list the CPU you have that you would reach 4.) Ghz quite easily with a $30 Hyper 212..... the 3 air coolers I mentioned would do 7 - 10C better but they are $15 more than ya budget.

Whatever ya get, make sure it has the 1156 mounting .... that socket is long outta date.

Solution
I agree with the above post, though the D14 is a bit about $60 it does overall perform better then the closed loop systems. But if you're on a strict $60 budget with little deviation then a Corsair H60 might work out well but it might struggle a bit at 4Ghz depending on the voltages.
