i was wondering are water coolers worth the money or are they just a gimmick to get you to waist your money. i live in an upstairs apartment which gets really hot during summer. i have a amd 2800 system, will a water cooler help at all?

Well a watercooling can never get below ambient... but a watercooler will be more capable of cooling the CPU close to ambient then most HSFs. But a good and large copper HSF and some casefans should also be able to do the trick... but they will create more noise.

My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole 😱
