Water cooling cpu and gpu in NZXT phantom 410

Hey guys,

This is my first time water cooling, ive read through the sticky here and i have a few questions. Im having the nzxt 410 phantom case and right now i want to know what kind of single radiator would be good for cooling cpu and gpu. i have seen many people use 2 x 240mm rads for each of them.

So my question is, it that much really necessary or have one 240 mm rad and high cfm fans blowing out air to cool them both or have a 120mm for cpu seperate.

Oh and btw i have a i7 3770k and nvidia gtx 670 and i dont think i'll be overclocking them anytime soon and the room temps in summer (like now) are around (28-37) .

And i saw someone did it like this can we remove the front rad cause i have 3 hdds and need that cage .

i would say pull hte hard drive cages and put a 60-80mm thick rad with reasonably high fpi in the front and you should be good because the top doesnt really have room for a thick rad

how about the back ? because since i have 3 hdd's i need that cage. so i pass the tubing to the back and let the radiator hang in the back with the fan mounted on it pulling out the heat. or another way could be hang it to the side bottom spacing for a 120mm rad.

is that possible and will it work ?

yes but you would want to get a radiator stand or you can mount your two hard drives in the 5 1/4 inch bays and then just use some velcro or somthing to attach your ssd to the case somwhere

Suggestion for a WC-loop case mod.

- Remove all the hard drive cages.

- (based on the picture i'd say it looks like you are planning on getting a reservoir with a mounted pump beneath it) place that centered where the bottom fan mesh is.

- Place a 140mm rad with push-pull config in the front where the cages used to be.

- Run the 140mm up to a top mounted 240mm rad with push config.

Then just do as "legokill101" has suggested before = Mount your HDD's / SSD's in the 5 1/4 inch bays.


Make sure to not be greedy when it commes to buying the fans, spend a few bucks on getting real low noise fans that still maintain a above average CFM.

Im in the same boat right now, i just bought a phantom 410 mid tower....good taste first of all, i got mine in white sexiest case ive ever had. any ways, im in the middle of the build, i got the case, i7 3930k and evga gtx670. pretty close to your build, and im trying to figure out what to do for cooling, one option i dont think you mentioned is that on this case there is a spot on the top under the mesh that you can do dual 120mm or 140mm fans, but it also has the mounting holes to house a rad. most reviews ive read so far on the case say you will only need to remove the cage if your video card(s) are too long, or if you want to add a second rad or open the air flow and add a second fan in the front.

well the thing is the clearence is pretty limted so while you can fit a rad its limited to 25-30mm thick so pretty slim and limited heat capicity while in the fron you can have a 60-80mm radiator which can easily handel a cpu+gpu
